Summer Summit Professional Musicians
An examination of the possibilities and conditions, whether and how to organize an annual inspiration week for international professional cultural workers from different arts fields. A week where we can develop new ideas around art education, talent development and cultural exchange with colleagues in a beautiful environment.
Helena Rüegg and Rob Bangert have invited 15 professional musicians and artists to be their guests in the summer of 2023, from July 2 to 8, in Roncaccio, near the village of Aranno in Ticino. In this remote, beautiful and inspiring setting, we want to explore with some other colleagues how to make our dream come true: to organize an annual gathering of international professional musicians, dancers, writers, visual artists and art teachers.
For professional artists, there are often few opportunities to get to know colleagues from other countries. Many seminars and other meetings of this type are offered during the summer months. But they are almost always aimed only at amateurs. Therefore, we believe it is important for professionals to be able to meet in a relaxed atmosphere as well.
Our inspiration week is all about sharing our expertise and experiences. To stimulate such discussions, we would be pleased if each participant provides insight into his/her field and talks about the structures and work opportunities in his/her home country or residence.
Colleagues from Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands will travel to the Roncaccio. A truly international group!
Talking about our respective professions is already very inspiring! But of course, practical performance on the spot is most welcome: singing, making music, dancing, acting – together or in small groups is always possible, but not necessary! Because the week should be as relaxed as possible.
Our actual goal is to organize an annual exchange in the summer starting in 2024, cost-effective and with a small participation fee. The insights gathered during this inspiration week in early July 2023 will flow into a project application to European partners for 2024 and subsequent years .
Een onderzoeken naar de mogelijkheden en voorwaarden, of en hoe een jaarlijkse inspiratieweek voor internationale professionele culturele werkers uit verschillende kunstenvelden kan worden georganiseerd. Een week waarin we in een prachtige omgeving met collega’s nieuwe ideeën kunnen ontwikkelen rondom kunsteducatie, talentontwikkeling en culturele uitwisseling.
Helena Rüegg en Rob Bangert hebben 15 professionele musici en kunstenaars uitgenodigd om hun gast te zijn in de zomer van 2023, van 2 tot 8 juli, in Roncaccio, nabij het dorp Aranno in Ticino. In deze afgelegen, mooie en inspirerende omgeving willen we samen met enkele andere collega’s onderzoeken hoe we onze droom kunnen waarmaken: het organiseren van een jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van internationale professionele musici, dansers, schrijvers, beeldend kunstenaars en kunstdocenten.
Voor professionele kunstenaars zijn er vaak weinig mogelijkheden om collega’s uit andere landen te leren kennen. Tijdens de zomermaanden worden er veel seminars en andere bijeenkomsten van dit type aangeboden. Maar ze zijn bijna altijd alleen gericht op amateurs. Daarom vinden wij het belangrijk dat professionals elkaar ook in een ontspannen sfeer kunnen ontmoeten.
Onze inspiratieweek staat in het teken van het delen van onze expertise en ervaringen. Om dergelijke discussies te stimuleren, zouden we het fijn vinden als elke deelnemer inzicht geeft in zijn/haar vakgebied en vertelt over de structuren en werkmogelijkheden in zijn/haar thuisland of verblijfplaats.
Collega’s uit Duitsland, Hongarije, België, Italië, Frankrijk, Zwitserland en Nederland zullen naar de Roncaccio afreizen. Een echt internationale groep!
Praten over onze respectievelijke beroepen is al heel inspirerend! Maar natuurlijk is de praktische uitvoering ter plaatse zeer welkom: zingen, musiceren, dansen, acteren – samen of in kleine groepjes kan altijd, maar hoeft niet! Omdat de week zo ontspannen mogelijk moet zijn.
Ons eigenlijke doel is om vanaf 2024 een jaarlijkse uitwisseling te organiseren in de zomer, kostendekkend en met een kleine deelnamevergoeding. De inzichten die we verzamelen tijdens deze inspiratieweek begin juli 2023 vloeien uit in een projectaanvraag bij Europese partners voor 2024 en volgende jaren .
